Sofie Strasser
Sofie Strasser is a printmaker, illustrator, and designer. She lives and works mostly in Vienna (AT) and sometimes in New Orleans (LA).
Born and raised in Salzburg, Austria she attended the College for Wood- and Stone Sculpture in Hallein (1995-1999), followed by studies in Industrial Design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (AT) and HDK Göteborg, (SE). After her graduation in 2005 as Master of Industrial Design, Sofie worked project-based in Austria and Sweden as designer and illustrator. In 2011 she moved to the United States where she lived, studied, and worked for 4 years. New Orleans is Sofie’s second home and she still frequently returns to get inspired for her artwork and personal development.
Since her return to Vienna in 2015 Sofie has focused professionally on printmaking and illustration. She is working as a full-time artist in her studio in Vienna’s 12th district.
